Scroby Sands Wind Farm is situated 3KM North East of
Great Yarmouth. It is owned by E-on UK Renewables and has
30 vestas V80 2Megawatt Turbines.
North Sea Logistics' provides a purpose build vessel "Celtic Warrior" which is
employed as the main service vessel and to date has safely
carried out in excess 10,000 personel transfers along with
a Delta 8 Meter Water Jet Rib "Scroby Doo".
Celtic Warrior has an operational speed of 20 Knots and is
powered twin 430hp cummins 6cta engines,coupled to hamilton water jets which with her shallow draft make her
ideal for the shallow water where the wind turbines at
Scroby Sands are situated.
North sea logistics provided the main transfer vessel during the constrution and still supplies the abave named vessels for the 5 year o & m perod on behalf of vestas.
