North Hoyle Wind Farm is situated 7KM of North wales coast.
It is owned by npower Renewables and has 30 V80 2Megawatt Turbines.
North Sea Logistics' provides a purpose build vessel "Celtic Wind" which is employed as the main service vessel and to date has safely carried out in excess 15,000 personel transfers along with a Delta 8 Meter Water Jet Rib "Little Mike".
Celtic Wind has an operational speed of 25 Knots and is powered by Cummins engines coupled to hamilton water jets which with her shallow draft make her ideal for the shallow water where the wind turbines at North Hoyle are situated. North sea logistics also provided the 3 transfer vessels during the constrution and still supplies the abave named vessels for the 5 year o & m perod on behalf of vestas.
